FREE Lunch or Dinner on Veterans Day

Thank you fellow veterans who gave your time, energy and life to protect the many freedoms that we enjoy here in the United States of America.  Without your dedication, life for us would surely be different than what we now experience every day thanks to you.

Tomorrow is our special day.  Many of the local and national restaurants offer either free or discounted meals in appreciation for your service.  In most cases it is not necessary  to be in uniform nor even had a current military ID card.  However, you may want to check with the specific restaurant that you plan on attending to verify the requirements for their Veterans Day specials.

I published a short video here:  [CLICK HERE TO SEE VIDEO] last year to provide more information on these special offers.  Most of these restaurants one again have special offers tomorrow for Veterans Day 2014.  Please call the restaurant to check on the latest offers.

Please enjoy your special day and on behalf of the entire Gruender family, thank you for your service to our country!

Want High EPS Stocks Currently In A Pullback?

11/9/2014

Picture
Hi Fellow Traders, one of the reports that I like to review over the weekend contains stocks that have high earnings per share "EPS" in the top 10% of all stocks but currently does not have market support.  This is referred to as the "Value Stock Report" and is included here on our InvestorsHELP.net website in our Subscribers Vault [CLICK HERE].

The stocks in this report are currently "out of favor" even though they have exceptionally strong earnings.  Perhaps they ran up to quickly; bad news or rumors were recently released, or perhaps a recent earnings announcement was "less than expected?"

Whatever the reason, it is NOT my intent to buy these stocks tomorrow, or perhaps even this coming week.  Rather, I put them on a watchlist where I can track their daily price action to see when and if they will begin to turn back up for a run to a new or recent high.

Here is the list as of November 7, 2014.  You might want to review some of these symbols for yourself and add them to your watchlist?

Hope you learn, profit and enjoy,
Trader_Joe

SectorSurfer "Perspective" From Scott Juds

 Mixed Market Signals?

Anyone who has listened to the financial pundits in the past few months has heard a strong mixture of optimism and pessimism.  Some say we are in a topping pattern last seen in 2011, whereas other say that the recovery, which reached a new high on Halloween, signals a strong finish for the year.  If you want Scott's perspective, [CLICK HERE]

Think or Swim (TOS) Platform Tips

11/3/2014

Although I use several brokers in my daily trading and investing activities, my favorite has become the "thinkorswim" platform.  Using this platform for several years, I know and use many of the excellent features and capabilities available to the user.

I have found the charting features especially powerful in addition to the excellent research and analysis capabilities on options.

Now that my daughter Cindy has begun her journey to learn and succeed in the financial markets, I would like her to learn and use the TOS trading platform in the future.  Perhaps one of the best ways to learn is by "doing."

Therefore I asked Cindy to prepare several short videos on some of the key features found in TOS as she actually learns the mechanics of using the TOS platform.

We hope that you learn and enjoy viewing Cindy's videos on the TOS platform.  Here's two to start:
1.  How to Change Background Colors and Font Size on the Think or Swim (TOS) platform.
2.  How to Link Charts on the Think or Swim (TOS) platform.

Both videos are available for FREE here:

Learn, Profit and Enjoy,

Which ETF Is Right For You?

10/21/2014

Picture
Exchange Traded Funds (ETFs) are a very exciting (and profitable) investment vehicle that I’ve studied over the past number of weeks.  Why put all my eggs (investment risk) into one basket with an individual stock when I can spread my eggs into many baskets using one ETF?  What does this mean?  Simply put, an ETF is a basket of stocks in a given sector or index.  For example, XLF is an ETF that holds financial stocks; and its’ major holdings are American Express, Bank of America, JP Morgan Chase and Wells Fargo, just to name a few.  When I buy a share of XLF, I’m actually buying into a basket of stocks from these different financial institutions.  If one of these institutions does poorly, it will have little effect on the price of the overall ETF.  Whereas, if I had bought an individual stock and it performed poorly, I could lose my shirt!

Would you like to take a look at an ETF and see what holdings it has?  I’d suggest going to http://finance.yahoo.com/ .  You can then look up an ETF, say XLF:  http://finance.yahoo.com/q?s=xlf Here you can look up the profile, performance and holdings of each ETF.  In the above mentioned ETF, I stated some of the holdings for XLF.  I found this information here: http://finance.yahoo.com/q/hl?s=XLF+Holdings.  This list includes the top ten holdings in each ETF.

There are many ETFs for different sectors and indices.  How is one to know what to select for their portfolio?  This is one of the areas that we will focus on in the ETF course that we are preparing at  http://InvestorsHELP.net!  Sectors include Financial, Energy, Utilities, Technology, Material, Consumer Staples, Consumer discreet select, Industrial and Healthcare.  Indexes that we’ll look at are Dow Jones, Nasdaq, Russell 2000, S&P 500, to name a few.

If you want to continue to follow my journey on learning how to profit in the financial markets, please check back to this blog soon!  I’ll keep you updated on my progress.

Happy Returns,

Cindy

For Newbies -- How to Use Price Cycles

10/20/2014

Hi Fellow Traders and Investors,

Now that we are back from our trip to Seattle, we worked over the weekend to get our computer up and running once again.  A conflict between some security software and my network connection sure caused alot of problems that took several hours of analysis.

As many of you know, I am working with my daughter (Novice_Trader_Cindy) to teach her how to trade and invest profitably in the financial markets.  She is now in her second month of training and is making excellent progress.  Today, during our daily training session, I covered the subject of "price cycles" and their importance to the newbie.

Part of this session was recorded so that Cindy could review this lesson several times as needed.  This video is somewhat "rough" in that it was not prewritten and therefore is not a polished product.  However, I think that this will be an excellent learning tool for you to use to get up to speed on the subject of price cycles.

This video is for newbies (new to trading and investing in the financial markets).  No matter what timeframe you use on price charts, it is very important to watch and understand that there are always "price cycles."  This video will help you understand what these are, how to find them and most important, how to profit in your trading and investing by using these cycles for entry and exit signals.

This FREE video can be found here for your education:  PRICE CYCLES VIDEO
